Train Your Officers to Survive Knife Attacks - 2 Day (24 Hours)

Developed by Peter Boatman of the Northamptonshire Police Department in England, (where knife attacks are the highest in the world against officers), this incredible, realistic training system makes use of those natural responses and teaches how to survive the attack and how to establish control or disengage. Successfully used & documented in the field, this system has proven to reduce officer injuries, increase awareness levels and more appropriately respond with action during the encounter. It has been evaluated as the most progressive edged weapon defense system in the world today.

COURSE PROFILE: Police officers are confronted with an edged weapon assault virtually every day throughout the United States. The dynamics of almost all edged weapon assaults means that drawing of a baton or other weapon in response. Statistics have proven this is not always possible. Often it is not possible to disengage and draw the weapon due to the speed of how fast the incident occurs. In such circumstances we are forced to use what nature has given us in terms of physiological responses.

Topics Covered in the Program Include:

  • Real life information of edged weapon attacks, dangers, injuries & death.
  • Video clips & slides of assaults with edged weapons.
  • Policy & strategy with edged weapons.
  • Protective vest design and equipment to prevent injuries.
  • Surviving the psychological & physiological affects of being cut or stabbed.
  • Extensive single & multiple officer / assailant hands-on exercises & scenarios.
